S220GD - S550GD

This group of hot-dip coated steels according to DIN EN 10346 is used in civil engineering. The steels are classified according to increasing values of the minimum proof stress Rp0.2 from 220 to 550 MPa. Depending on the application, different surface finishes are used; Z-, ZF-, ZM-coatings are primarily chosen to improve corrosion resistance. To increase heat resistance at the same time, aluminum additives are used in the coating (ZA, AZ, AS).

Hot-dip coated structural steels are used in construction, mechanical engineering and vehicle construction.
