The grade X5CrNi18-10 is very well suited for cold forming, e.g. bending, flanging, deep drawing and spinning, and is easily weldable by all methods except gas welding. Due to its good corrosion resistance, cold formability and weldability, the grade is widely used for household goods, dishwashers, cutlery, in the consumer goods industry, in vehicle construction and in architecture. In addition, grade X5CrNi18-10 is used in apparatus and container construction, for milk, beer, wine and food processing and storage, as well as for nitrogen chemistry.
